After Jeers At Fla. Delegate Breakfast, Debbie Wasserman Schultz Doesn’t Open DNC

Yet the remarkable scene raised more questions about the wisdom of having Wasserman Schultz formally preside over the convention. These comments do not reflect the values of the DNC or our steadfast commitment to neutrality during the nominating process.

Sanders’ bid pushed Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic Party’s platform to the left on some issues like setting the minimum wage at $15 per hour, free college education for most Americans and pursuing universal healthcare.

On Sunday, Sanders repeated his call for Wasserman Schultz to resign.

The outcry came just one day after Wasserman Schultz said she would step down from her chairmanship at the end of the convention after a massive email leak showed DNC officials giving preference to presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the prolonged primary contest against Sanders.

But he said there are still a majority of Democrats who back Clinton. “As the mother of my three wonderful children and the Representative of Florida’s 23rd congressional district, I know that electing Hillary Clinton as our next president is critical for America’s future”.

As of now, Peebles said he isn’t backing anyone in the race, but continues to openly listen to the candidates.

“I have no intentions of touching this”, she wrote in an email on May 13.

At one point, Wasserman Schultz tried play down the booing: “I can see there’s a little bit of interest in my being here, and I can appreciate that interest”.

Schultz said Sunday she will officially step down from her position as DNC chairwoman after the convention concludes on Thursday, but in the meantime, Rep. Marcia Fudge of OH, an avid Clinton supporter, is predicted to become the official chairwoman for the convention.

Trump was referring to a massive hack of DNC servers that show efforts by DNC officials to undermine Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders during the primary season. “While she deserves thanks for her years of service, the party now needs new leadership that will open the doors of the party and welcome in working people and young people”. “Debbie Wasserman Schultz did what she did in order to make sure the rigged system stay intact and Hillary gets it….”

“It was time for her to go”, de Blasio told reporters at a press conference in Brooklyn, before departing for Philadelphia to attend the Democratic National Convention.
