Shiv Sena, however, today said it was not possible to have fun when soldiers are being martyred and that it will continue to “boycott” Pakistan till it stops terror activities.

Anwar further condemned singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya for supporting the ban of Ghulam Ali from performing in Mumbai, saying these kinds of people should not be given much importance.

A local Hindu nationalist party has protested the presence of a Pakistani singer and forced organisers to cancel his concert in Mumbai, India’s entertainment capital.

Delhi’s ruling AAP on Thursday had invited the noted singer to perform here after he cancelled his Mumbai concert following threats from the Shiv Sena. The Sena has said India should have no cultural ties with Pakistan because it is fomenting trouble on the border.Aaditya, for his part, chided chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for showing willingness to offer security to the singer. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also said he is a fan.

The party also sought to know if Pakistani artists ever condemned the attacks by their country on Indian soil. “We will make all arrangements”. Is it okay for Pakistani artists to perform at private/corporate functions attended by the Thackeray family but not at shows where the common man can attend?

I am upset that people went through the trouble.
