Although the criticism that Arvind Subramanian is pro-US is not new, Swamy raked it up vigorously on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

“There was this American Congress Committee for pharmaceutical purposes, there was a hearing to figure out India’s opinion on matter, so he said in statement that India isn’t working according to America in this matter and for that they should be taught a lesson in WTO”, he added.
His tweet reads, “Guess who encouraged Congi to become rigid on GST clauses?”
Buouyed by the recent announcement of Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan to not opt for a second term, Swamy sought the CEA’s ouster after a report cited a Bloomberg News Survey hinting at Subramanian as the top choice to succeed Rajan among the five candidates who are in the reckoning. Target is Arun Jaitley not Arvind Subramanian. “Does any PT know?”, he said. Swamy said he was helping Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in identifying his enemies.
Will the Modi government buckle under Swamy pressure?
Earlier, Swamy had said that RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan was a Congress agent and worked to put small and medium industries out of business. After he had attacked Rajan as “unfit” for the job and “mentally not fully Indian”.

“I want to share with you that I will be returning to academia when my term as Governor ends on September 4, 2016”, Dr Rajan said in a press release addressed to RBI staff. The same day, the government said Dr Rajan’s successor would be announced shortly.
