Rick Perry, former governor of Texas and member of the scrum of 2016 GOP presidential candidates, will join the cast of “Dancing With the Stars“, ABC announced on “Good Morning America” Tuesday.

Mr Perry will team up with pro partner Emma Slate when the new season of Dancing with the Stats begins on 12 September.

Laurie Hernandez is excited to join the season 23 cast and was quoted saying to People, “I’m so excited!” “I just literally said everything that everybody else thinks”. “I just want to move forward and.put on my dancing shoes”.
Model Amber Rose, who now hosts her own talk show, The Amber Rose Show, on VH1, will be competing.
Another name at the top of my Season 23 favorites list is rapper Vanilla Ice (OK, we’ll call him Robert Van Winkle).
“Dancing With the Stars”, in which celebrities are paired with professional ballroom dancers and voted off by the public, has been a popular venue for those seeking a comeback or trying to change their public image.
The roster wouldn’t be complete without a Disney Channel star, and “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum Jake T. Austin is filling that slot.
