After Rodgers’ Hail Mary forces OT, Fitz gives Arizona win

After a wild card round showdown that saw victories for all four road professional American football teams, the 2016 NFL Playoffs continue Saturday with the divisional round and the reviving Green Bay Packers on the road in Arizona looking to secure for a ticket to bounce back to the National Football Conference (NFC) championship matchup.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (18) is carted off the field after being injured against the Arizona Cardinals during the first half of an NFL divisional playoff football game, Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, in Glendale, Ariz.

Fitzgerald caught eight passes for 176 yards. But none may have been so dizzyingly incomprehensible as the fact that the overtime coin flip had to be redone because the coin itself didn’t flip on the first attempt. Today’s game has a late start time and airs on a national TV channel as well as being available as a live stream online option.

After winning a game against Detroit with a Hail Mary, he made another last second touchdown pass to set up a tie against Arizona Saturday night. James Starks gained the Packers’ first first down.

Randall’s interception was the second thrown by Carson Palmer in the second half. The pass play would have put the Packers at the Cardinals’ 4-yard line. So far, the Cardinals have a slim lead, but Green Bay’s offense has been moving the chains consistently over their past two drives, and have held the ball for almost five minutes more than Arizona, who leads by a score of 7-6.

Smith opened the game 5 of 5 for 29 yards, but is at 10 of 21 for just 65 yards at halftime. It could be Peterson saying that that the Packers don’t even have a chance in this game. The Packers’ Eddie Lacy had 90 yards, 61 on a ramble to set up the first Green Bay TD.

Palmer threw for 349 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions on 25-of-41 passing.
