Areas of dense fog will develop and reduce visibility to one-quarter-mile or less through mid-morning, according to the National Weather Service.

After the fog clears, Tuesday’s high is expected to reach 84 with mostly sunny skies. Clouds will likely clear by the Thursday afternoon for some sunshine.
The fog should dissipate by 10 a.m. and break to a partly sunny day with a high of 83.

Friday now holds a 20 percent chance of rain which could continue overnight and into Saturday morning.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high around 93 degrees and a 20 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms.
Sunny skies are expected to stick around the Wyoming Valley as the week rolls along.
A high of 81 degrees is in the forecast.

Monday’s high in Madison was 82 at 1:09 p.m., 11 degrees above the normal high and 11 degrees below the record high of 93 for September 19, set in 1948. The 2016 total rose to 33.56 inches, 6.69 inches above normal.
