After Wimbledon win, Murray eyes top ranking
Following his shortcomings to win his first ever Grand Slam title, Raonic heads to the ATP 1000 Masters in Toronto on July 25-31, where he could play the likes of Murray, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

In the women’s singles final, Serena Williams avenged her Australian Open defeat to Angelique Kerber, and won her 22nd Grand Slam title with a 7-5, 6-3 victory for the championship at the All England Club.
The world number seven insists he has learned from his latest encounter with Murray and will be more resilient this time around.
“It’s possible”, Murray told the BBC.
“If I were to put a number on it, I’d set it high and I’d rather fail by setting the bar high”.
It’s very special because he has had quite a few tough times since his last one actually, including the surgery and lots of changes in the team and I think he is very relieved, but this time really ecstatic as well. “I played my best tennis under him”, he added.
Murray was back at the All England Club on Monday morning for another round of media interviews looking somewhat bleary eyed. Murray broke Raonic’s serve only once in the match, while the Canadian had some chances in the third set but failed to convert. Even the Czech was spotted tearing up on Sunday, even if he tried to pass it off, in the words of Murray, as his allergies playing up. “I don’t believe it”. It’s something I have spoken to my team about, something I chatted to Ivan about.
Andy Murray says he is unlikely to feature in Great Britain’s Davis Cup clash with Serbia this week following his Wimbledon triumph on Sunday.
“The Olympics is important to me”, he said.
Murray has said repeatedly that if he was physically fine then he would play in the tie, but during the Wimbledon fortnight he lowered expectations.
“The last time it was such a big thing for a British man to win Wimbledon, as it had been so long”, he added.
“I put myself in a position all of the time in these events to win them”.
“I don’t see that being an issue this time”. How many can he go on to win? “I’ll give it my best shot to do that”.
Gordon Reid says he is delighted to have achieved his dream after making Wimbledon history at the weekend.
There have certainly been encouraging signs over the past few months, and having a home Wimbledon singles champion once more should be another opportunity to grow the game.
Playing in an era when Djokovic, Federer and Rafael Nadal have captured 43 grand slam titles between them, three-times major victor Murray knows that he has his work cut out if he wants to add to his haul. When I finish it would be nice if British tennis was in a better place than when I came in.

The Montenegro-born powerhouse said: “I think the biggest challenge for me, which I felt was the thing I want to happen the least, or repeat itself the least from Queen’s, is I got sucked into his game”.
