AG Kane law license suspension delayed for 30 days, her spokesman says
They presented allegations related to those made by Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman, who in August charged Ms. Kane with perjury, obstruction and other crimes.

The state Supreme Court voted 5-0 Monday to temporarily suspend Ms. Kane’s law license based on charges that she leaked secret grand jury information to damage political enemies and lied about it under oath.
Kane said she would continue to root out “the culture of misogyny and racially/religiously offensive behavior that has permeated law enforcement and members of the judiciary in this Commonwealth for years”.
Kane’s current lawyers say she never admitted it and that she’s innocent. “Clearly, she can continue making legal decisions until the date at which the suspension takes effect”.
Bruce Antkowiak, a law professor at St. Vincent College, says it could create an enormously complicated situation for Kane’s office to sort out and potentially give defense lawyers an avenue to raise challenges.
Kane’s Press Secretary Chuck Ardo said Kane told him Tuesday morning that she had received formal notice of her suspension – handed down by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Monday – and it starts October 21.
Kane, the first woman to hold the position of Pennsylvania’s top prosecutor, has dismissed the probe against her as unfair backlash over her challenge to what she calls the old-boys’ network in state government.
The charges prompted Gov. Tom Wolf, a fellow Democrat, to call for her resignation.
“The suspension doesn’t begin for 30 days”, spokesman Chuck Ardo said.

“I’ve instructed my office to engage in a comprehensive review of all emails sitting on (attorney general) servers to fully comply with the RTK (requests)”, Kane stated. But her name will likely disappear from all filings the office’s lawyers make in court, former prosecutors say. In this case, that will be October 21, he said.
