Again, Military Warns Boko Haram Terrorists to Surrender
For months, Baga Sola has been home to thousands of people who already had fled deadly Boko Haram attacks in Nigeria.

“The search for abducted Chibok school girls and the rescue of other Nigerians in hostage has never relapsed…”, military spokesman Colonel Rabe Abubakar said in the statement. “And it becomes absolutely necessary to alert the public and also warn the Boko Haram terrorists that they should lay down their arms, they should surrender before we finally deal decisively with them”, he said.
Another 48 people were wounded, the Chadian government said in a statement.
Niger, Cameroon and Chad have all suffered a spillover of violence from Boko Haram’s north Nigerian strongholds.
Officials say a man, two women and two children carried out the attack.
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has denounced the five simultaneous suicide attacks in Baga Sola sous-prefecture in Chad on Sunday, which left scores of civilians dead or injured. “The market is on fire right now”, said one security source present in the town.
‘There were three explosions at the Baga Sola market and two explosions near the Dar-es-Salam refugee camp.
Chad is a leading contributor to a regional task force set up to fight Boko Haram, whose attacks have spread in recent years from its birthplace in nearby northeastern Nigeria to Chad, Cameroon and Niger.
A new video purportedly released by the Islamic State affiliated Boko Haram shows a Nigerian soldier beheaded in what is now known as Islamic State’s West Africa Province.

This comes just before a multinational force prepares to deploy against Boko Haram.
