Reports also suggest that Gent want close to £10m for Simon’s signature, but it remains to be seen whether any club will be willing to match that figure.

Gent striker Depoitre has been linked with a January transfer to Tottenham, and his agent has confirmed to ESPN that there is a wealth of interest in the recent capped Belgian global, although he is not sure that Spurs have made contact yet.
Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be keen on the player and the star’s agent has admitted a move to the Premier League could be on the cards.
Depoitre, meanwhile, bagged 13 goals in 35 games in his first season with the club since his move from Oostende, and already has six goals in 10 league games to his name this season.
Tottenham officials had been initially scouting Depoitre, but his teammate from the Belgian side, Simon, has also emerged as a target thanks to a string of impressive displays from the Nigeria global.
“He is happy in Gent, but try to find me a player that does not want to play in the Premier League”, the Belgium international’s representative added.
