Agitationist Kejriwal to spell doom for Punjab: Sukhbir

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal today said that if his party wins the upcoming Assembly elections in Punjab then it will ban both consumption and sale of alcohol and meat around the holy area of Golden Temple.

AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders escaped unhurt, when his auto hit a police vehicle here today.

He said that giving out security details of chief minister and of his tour programme to Punjab was “a serious issue” and he will ask Delhi Police Commissioner to probe the matter.

He said that the foundation of Khalsa Panth was laid at Sri Anandpur Sahib that is why this place was known as land of Khalsa.

Calling AAP’s National Convenor and DelhiChief Minister ArvindKejriwal an “agitationist”, he said if AAP is voted to power in Punjab, it would “spell doom” for the state.

“We will accord “holy city” status to Amritsar”.

“Not only Sikhs but people of all religions pay obeisance at Golden Temple in Amritsar which also has Durgiana Temple, Ram Teerath and Jallianwala Bagh”, he said, adding that whenever hes visit Punjab, he always wished to bow his head at Golden Temple and take blessings from Almighty.

The bumper of Kejriwal’s vehicle was damaged, they said.

The AAP has emerged as a major player in Punjab where elections are due early next year.

Talking about his inner experience, after paying obeisance in the Golden Temple, Kejriwal said that always after bowing his head in the sanctum sanctorum felt huge pleasure in mind and heart.
