Aguero Brace Leads City Past Swansea
Aguero has scored 28 goals in his last 27 Premier League appearances for City – including 11 in six during the current campaign – while Sterling has now scored four goals and set up a further five in eight competitive appearances this term.

Guardiola’s side extended their ideal start to the Premier League season – now six wins out of six – with a win over the Swans, thanks to two goals from Aguero and a late third from Raheem Sterling.
De Bruyne should have restored City’s lead with a third goal in as many league matches, but dragged wide when a clever flick from Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan’s first-time pass sent him clear of the Swansea defence.
But Guardiola’s team were made to work hard for their win, and they could not relax until Raheem Sterling wrapped it up 13 minutes from time.
A Sergio Aguero double helped Manchester City overcome a tough test against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, with the visitors running out 3-1 winners.
“We didn’t create too many chances early in the game, then (Fernando) Llorente scored a fantastic goal”.
“Congratulations to him (Aguero), especially for his first goal”, Guardiola said. “His first control for the opening goal was outstanding, but I want to help him be a better player”. “Tonight we are going to come back to Manchester, tomorrow the doctor is going to see”.
“The way he reacted, it looked like muscular, but I am not a doctor, fortunately”.
“I don’t know what the owner and chairman are thinking, but it is not important”, he said.
Michael van der Hoorn was adjudged to have challenged De Bruyne unfairly, and Aguero wrong-footed the goalkeeper with a cheeky penalty.
Under pressure Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin felt it was a big turning point in the game as his side had matched the Premier League leaders up until that point. But Neil Taylor and Ki Sung-yeung, who both displayed public disapproval of Guidolin’s decisions to substitute them against Chelsea and Southampton respectively, were on bench duty. “In front of us we have a good future”.

The Belgian won the penalty that allowed Manchester City to restore their lead as Van der Hoorn clumsily put an arm cross his face and he tumbled to the floor.
