Aguero can not ‘disappear’ when City lose possession: Guardiola

The England goalkeeper was recalled by Pep Guardiola after being left on the bench for the first three games of the season by City’s new manager.

Barcelona recently revealed that City have made an approach for the Chile global goalkeeper.

Because Hart then walked off the training pitch immediately after the pair spoke, footage has given the impression to some they may not get on. I have an excellent relationship with Joe.

After last Saturday’s 2-1 win over Sunderland, City have scored nine times in their past two games, with Sergio Aguero and substitute Nolito both claiming doubles in Staffordshire four days on from their 5-0 rout of Steaua Bucharest. I try to be clear with my players and I was clear with him.

Speculation a deal could be imminent has now increased after Bravo was pictured at the airport in Barcelona reportedly preparing to board a flight to Manchester.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper is set to sign a three-year deal worth £100,000 a week.

Guardiola confirmed Bravo’s imminent arrival when asked about Bravo at a news conference on Tuesday, saying: “I can not deny what everyone knows”. Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, foreground, scores his side’s first goal of the match from the penalty spot, during the English Premier League soccer match between Stoke City and Manchester City, at The Bet365 Stadium, in Stoke. It’s not done. It’s 90 minutes with a big advantage, but I said to the players, “Sorry guys, we aren’t in the Champions League already”.

Hart’s transformation from City’s No 1 for eight seasons to second, and possibly, third choice represents a remarkable turnaround for the 28-year-old Englishman. But first is play good and to play good you have to run and I was pretty sure we were able to do that.

As for Leicester, the champions are still searching for the first win of their title defense after a 0-0 draw at home to Arsenal, in a game between the top two teams from last season.

Guardiola also ducked questions about Bravo, even though he is expected complete his move to the Etihad in time for the visit of West Ham on Sunday.

“I don’t know why, because he’s a great English player, they should be supporting him instead of booing him. These things happen. Footballers have ups and downs”. Everybody knows it’s not done until it’s done.

“Look at the Champions League final with Liverpool and AC Milan – 3-0 at half-time and that was a Milan with many experienced players”.

Guardiola, who took charge in the summer, has major reservations about Hart’s ability to play as the kind of “sweeper-keeper” his preferred system demands. “No, a lot can happen”.
