Aguero can’t ‘disappear’ without ball – Guardiola

Kelechi Iheanacho has praised Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and striker Sergio Aguero for aiding the Nigeria forward’s development.

The Argentina global took his tally to six goals from City’s first three games after scoring twice in the 4-1 victory over Stoke City as they maintained their flawless start to the season.

‘It’s not enough to receive the ball from his team-mates, he has to help us in the first pressure and run a lot and help us a lot with movement.

It was thought that a fixture at the bet365 Stadium would present a big test for the embryonic Guardiola regime following Stoke’s 2-0 victory here past year and, after Aguero’s first-half double, the Potters hit back through a Bojan Krkic penalty.

Guardiola has also opened the door to Kelechi Iheanacho: “He is always ready”. ‘We will need him.
