AIB says all services restored after technical issues

AIB has more than one million users of its online services and also suffered IT issues late last month which disrupted internet and tablet banking.

As of 6pm, all services were operating as normal.

The bank apologised for any inconvenience and assured customers “that they will not be out of pocket” as a result of the outage.

AIB says costumers will not be out of pocket as a result of a technical glitch on its systems today.

AIB customers nationwide reported being unable to access their banking facilities either online, or via their phones, earlier today.

Customers’ ability to withdraw cash from ATMs and make purchases in store and online with their AIB cards was not affected.

Earlier in the day the bank experienced technical issues which hit its branch and telephone banking services.

AIB have said they are aware of the issue and are working on a resolution.
