Aidan McGeady makes Sheffield Wednesday switch
This morning no further news surrounding the Irishman has emerged, leading many to believe that he is destined to stay at least another six months at the club.

Everton winger Aiden McGeady is close to joining a Sky Bet Championship side on loan, Toffees boss Robert Martinez has revealed.
Promotion-chasing Wednesday, who now sit seventh, were understood to be favourites to sign McGeady ahead of their rivals after the 29-year-old had a medical with them – with the temporary deal confirmed on Monday.
The signing would probably end Wednesday’s business for the mid-season window and the club will turn their attentions towards the fight for a place in next season’s Premier League.
“I’m very happy because first of all, we only want to bring in players if they can improve the team”, Carvalhal said.
Everton have loaned Republic of Ireland winger Aiden McGeady to Sheffield Wednesday for the remainder of the season.
It had been suggested that McGeady was on the brink of making a move to Sevilla in order to team up with former Spartak Moscow head coach Unai Emery.

McGeady has fallen foul of Roberto Martinez’s team selection recently and has played just one game for the club this season – in a 5-3 win against Barnsley in the Capital One Cup back in August.
