AIPAC Denounces Trump Criticism Of Obama’s Relationship With Israel
“While we may have policy differences, we deeply respect the office of the United States and our president, Barack Obama”, she said, reportedly to “resounding applause”. “But it has repeated itself over and over and has done nothing but embolden those who hate America”.

Well, earlier today, the president of AIPAC herself actually scolded Trump for that.
Rabbi Menachem Creditor, a progressive, told JTA that he adjusted his remarks at the confab Tuesday morning to address the fallout from Trump’s speech.
As in so many arenas, Trump was a divisive presence. “As president, I will not be neutral”, Cruz said at AIPAC. “America will stand unapologetically with the nation of Israel”, Cruz said.
Mr Trump declined to answer Mrs Clinton’s criticisms, offering a standard appeal to a pro-Israel audience: “When I become president, the days of treating Israel like a second-class citizen will end on Day 1”. Well, my view is very different.
Clinton also took aim at calls to decrease American involvement in the region.
TRUMP: Discussions have been swirling about an attempt to bring a Security Council resolution on terms of an eventual agreement between Israel and Palestine.
One of Kasich’s biggest applause lines came when he denounced Palestinian attacks on Israel, saying they are a result of “a culture of hate that the Palestinian Authority has promoted for 50 years”, of which he said he was “horrified”. Hillary Clinton’s keynote speech at AIPAC’s annual meeting Monday, however, was more debased than it needed to be, promising that under her administration, Israel will be spared even the mild rebukes it has suffered under President Obama.
“Let me tell you this deal is catastrophic”, Trump said, though some members of the crowd laughed when the NY businessman claimed he has studied the issue more than anybody.
Speaking hours after Clinton departed the stage, Republicans sought to outdo themselves and the former top diplomat in their bids to assure the auidence that they have what it takes to ensure Israel’s security.
“I do not accept the idea that the “pro-Israel” position was to oppose the deal”, Sanders said.
Democrat candidate Senator Bernie Sanders was the only presidential candidate who did not address the conference. He also has said he would be neutral when brokering peace.
Democratic presidential candidate, Sen.
Instead, he delivered a foreign policy speech in Salt Lake City, a day before the Democratic caucuses in Utah. It advocates for a pro-Israel agenda in Congress, and is considered to hold a considerable influence in US politics.

“In the U.N., Israel, the Middle East’s only true democracy, is slandered like no other country on earth”, said Netanyahu, adding that Israel has been “hounded” by U.N. agencies seeking to delegitimize its existence.
