Air France flights diverted over security incidents
Federal officials in the United States say an Air France flight bound for Paris from Los Angeles was also diverted to Salt Lake City because of unspecified security concerns.

The two grounded flights were Air France flight AF55 from Washington, DC, to Paris and Air France flight AF65 from Los Angeles to Paris, according to media reports. Both planes landed safely and no on-board incidents were reported.
American authorities investigated and found no credible threat, according to an Federal Bureau of Investigation statement released late Tuesday night.
He said he looked at the flight monitor at his seat and saw that “we had made a pretty sharp right turn – we had been nearly near Canada – toward Salt Lake City”.
A passenger on the Los Angeles flight identified it as Flight 65 and said the plane was evacuated due to a bomb threat. He said that he had just finished dinner aboard the Airbus when trays were abruptly taken away by crew members who said the plane was landing because of “unsafe flying conditions”.
Security officials have been on high alert since last week’s deadly attacks in Paris, claimed by Islamic State militants, killed 129 people, and after Russian Federation said the group was responsible for the downing on Oct 31 of a plane returning to St Petersburg from the Sharm al-Sheikh resort in Egypt, killing all 224 on board. Ara Adjamian posted a photo of police next to the plane to Instagram.
“Passengers are being removed from flight”. All passengers appear to be safe.
“We received a complaint of a bomb threat and we responded to it”, Skinner said.

Peter Spurway, a spokesman for Halifax Stanfield global Airport, told CBC that he was waiting to hear whether Air France would send a plane to pick them up.
