In a deal announced Monday at the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow, Shenzhen-based Donghai Airlines says its fleet expansion will help satisfy the growing travel market and help build its home base as the transportation hub in southern China.

The events this week mark the first appearance at the major worldwide air show for the F-35, which is moving towards full production in Fort Worth after years of technical hurdles. By the end of that show, the two firms had taken orders for almost 700 new planes.
India’s Go Airlines India Pvt.is in talks with Airbus to purchase approximately 70 more A320neos worth $7.5 billion, adding to the 72 ordered two years ago, people familiar with the matter said.
Another 42 aircraft, a mix of 737-800s and Max 8s, were orders which Boeing had previously attributed to four unidentified customers.
Boeing had earlier taken a lead over France-based Airbus with a spate of morning accords involving carriers in China and tour operator TUI AG.
Boeing added yesterday that another unnamed Chinese carrier has signed a commitment for 30 737 jets worth over US$3 billion.
Boeing said it signed an agreement to sell 10 of its 737-7 MAX airplanes to Kunming Airlines and is working to finalize the deal.
TUI AG finalises order to buy 10 737 MAX 8 jets and one 787-9 Dreamliner, worth $1.4 billion at list prices. It also secured commitments for another 82 planes, valued at $8.7 billion.
The order was announced on the second day of the air show at Farnborough, the biennial gathering for the aviation industry outside London.
Tuesday morning, before the announcement of the mammoth AirAsia order, Airbus revealed a pending deal with Berlin-based Germania for 25 A320neo narrow-bodies – the main rival to the Max – with a total list price $2.68 billion.
The company said it expects to deliver 12 of the planes per year starting in 2018, down from 27 in 2015.
The Airbus tally included a deal for 62 airplanes that had been announced as a preliminary order a year ago.
Chicago-based manufacturer Boeing said demand for single-aisle aircraft is expected to drive the increase as budget carriers and emerging market airlines order an expected 28,140 aircraft in the period, up more than against previous year.
While the deal’s details have not been disclosed yet, it is forecasted to be worth around $30 billion, with jets such as the latest 737 Max and next-generation 737 variant.
The new services agreement represents the largest commercial services order in Boeing history, the company said.

“We would like to congratulate Airbus for producing the state-of-the-art A321neo aircraft that meets our requirements for efficient operations”. In comparison, passenger traffic in China rose about 10 percent and less than 5 percent in the U.S., IATA said in December.
