Airstrike kills ISIS leader with link to Paris attacks
The Pentagon said airstrikes by US-led coalition have killed 10 leaders of IS this month.

Ten Islamic State commanders in Iraq and Syria have been killed in the past month by targeted US-led coalition air strikes, a U.S. military spokesman has said.
Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who was killed in a police raid in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis last month, had direct contacts, the coalition says, with al Mouadan before the attacks took place, which more than 120 people.
Warren’s detailing of recent US successes in taking out ISIS figures coincides with a stepped-up effort by the Obama administration to broadcast its wins in taking on ISIS to reassure the American public that it has an effective approach for combatting the terror group. Some neighborhoods in Ramadi remain in Islamic State control, but Warren said the majority of the fighters have either been killed or run away.

“We will hunt ISIL leaders working to inspire attacks against USA and our allies”, Warren said on his official Twitter account. He said one was directly tied to those who planned the violence in Paris and was actively planning other assaults against the West. Most appeared to be mid-level leaders.
So far, the Pentagon hasn’t said when the special operations forces would be deployed. Sujan was an external operations planner who was educated as a computer systems engineer in the United Kingdom.

Airstrikes since December 7 have killed at least 10 leaders of the Islamic extremist group, the Washington Post reported.
On Dec. 7, Khalil Ahmad Ali al-Wais, aka Abu Wadhah, the ISIL Amir of Kirkuk Province was killed near Hawijah, Iraq.
He had links to the Paris attack network and was killed Saturday in an airstrike on the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, Warren said.
Warren’s announcement came as Belgian authorities said they had arrested two men in connection with a suspected plot involving attacks during the holiday season in Brussels.

Iraq’s army has retaken a former government compound in Ramadi. But ISIS remains entrenched in other key cities, including Iraq’sMosul and Syria’sRaqqa.
