Akbaruddin Owaisi faces arrest for making derogatory remarks against PM
Owaisi demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should break his silence, condemn Dadri incident and condole the victim’s family. “We will proceed accordingly”, said Superintendent of Police Rajeev Ranjan on Akbaruddin Owaisi’s possible arrest. Whereas AIMIM leader Aftab Ahmed termed it a controversy against the party and cited other prominent leaders facing the charges akin to the one discussed.

“The legal team of our party is trying to get the certified copy of FIR and it depends upon them”, he said. Akbaruddin, younger brother of AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asauddin Owaisi, is an MLA of Telangana.
Asaduddin said Modi as the then chief minister of Gujarat had failed in his constitutional duty to protect lives.
At an election meeting at Sontha Haat on October 4, Akbaruddin had allegedly used abusive language against all members of Parliament except Asaduddin. He was also accused of making provocative remarks against BJP leaders.
The local police, which had booked Mr Owaisi under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure, was ordered to arrest him today by senior officers.
The Section 153A deals exclusively with encouraging hostility between two groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language and doing acts which are damaging to maintenance of harmony, while section 188 deals with disobedience to order duly proclaimed by a public servant.
