Southern filmmaker Murugadoss, who has made a name for himself in Bollywood with films like Ghajini and Holiday, is now making Akira with Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role.

The poster shows an edgy Sonakshi staring at us with Anurag Kashyap and Konkona Sen in the background.
The film’s trailer will be launched at an event in Mumbai in presence of entire star cast.
Sonakshi Sinha, took to Instagram and posted the first poster of Akira and captioned it as, “She will fight back”. The date is not too far. This will be her second collaboration with director A R Murugadoss after 2013-hit Holiday. While the protagonist in Mouna Guru was a male actor Arulnidhi, the Bollywood version of it has a female lead, Sonakshi.
The poster also revealed that the movie’s trailer will be released on July 4.

Sonakshi had earlier expressed her excitement over training hard for the actioner and said, “I am getting to learn martial arts and so many other things”.
