Al Jazeera Reporter Says Doping Documentary “Not Making the Allegation Against”
“The start date we have, where we signed for him, was 10/17/11”, says one “Heather” from the Guyer Institute after Al Jazeera reporter Deborah Davies asks for the timeline.

An Al Jazeera America investigation saying that Peyton Manning used illegal performance-enhancing drugs came under attack Sunday after the report’s source recanted his allegations.
Much of the initial controversy over the report revolved around the timing of Sly’s internship with the Guyer Institute, the Indianapolis anti-aging clinic where Manning and his wife Ashley were both patients. Later in the interview, she repeated, “We are not making the allegation against Peyton Manning”. Following Al Jazeera’s report that Manning had been sent HGH supplements during the 2011 season, Brady spoke up in support of his fellow quarterback on his weekly appearance on WEEI Monday morning.
Manning joined the Broncos in 2012 and had a record-setting run, going 47-15 until he tore the plantar fascia in his left foot on November 15.
Guyer said, “I find it extremely disturbing that the source of Al Jazeera’s story, a former unpaid intern named Charles Sly, would violate the privacy of Mrs. Manning’s medical records and be so callous and destructive as to purposely fabricate and spread stories that are simply not true”. Although Manning’s management has called the claims “outrageous and wrong”, they have not denied that Ashley was shipped growth hormones, The Huffington Post reported.
“The program is about doping in sports”, Davies said.
The founder of The Guyer Institute, Dr. Dale Guyer, said “Mr. Sly has fabricated this whole thing for reasons I can not fathom”.
Al Jazeera’s reporter from the documentary said Tuesday that there are not any allegations made against Peyton Manning.
The documentary points out that HGH is banned by the NFL and explained how the NFL Players Association initially pushed back on the implementation of the blood test that detects the synthetic drug, leaving viewers to draw their own conclusions. Charlie Sly claims packages containing HGH were deliverd to his wife in the period after multiple neck surgeries.
Kudos to the Today Show hosts for pressing Davies on the issue – Peyton Manning’s wife receiving HGH is interesting if there’s evidence against Peyton Manning, but Al Jazeera has nothing of the sort and Davies was forced to admit that. He was consistent, he was calm, he was absolutely not badgered.
Manning, considered to be among the greatest quarterbacks of all time, is the NFL’s most successful commercial pitchman.

“When you have a big story that’s out there, other people report on it. They get stuff wrong”, Davies said.
