Two of the past five governors went to prison.

The governor’s office wasted little time addressing the resolution. Mason said the Alabama Council for Excellent Government, a group formed to promote Bentley’s agenda, paid her $15,000 past year. Henry said his filing accuses Bentley of all of those things, as well as incompetence.

ORIGINAL: State Representative Ed Henry, R- Hartselle, is holding a news conference in order to discuss Articles of Impeachment he plans to file against Gov. Robert Bentley. Collier disclosed the governor’s dalliance with his senior political adviser, a former beauty queen nearly 30 years his junior. If we are going to do what we did the other day, we are going to have to start locking the door.

Bentley and Medicaid Commissioner Stephanie Azar will hold a press conference Wednesday to talk about the budget impact on Medicaid. Lawmakers are pushing an investigation into whether public resources supported Bentley’s crush.

Some Alabama lawmakers, including the leader of the Senate, are expressing doubts about an effort to impeach Gov. Robert Bentley. “Your vote is a vote to cut out dialysis for people who need it”, Smitherman said. A low-profile legislator, he was the only Republican standing after better-known candidates destroyed each other in a primary.

Henry said he was pushing impeachment because the state House needs to be responsive to voters and not wait for the court system and law enforcement agencies to finish their work in the case.

Bentley has hinted he might call lawmakers back into special session over Medicaid funding.

In his second term, he bucked orthodoxy.

And Alabama isn’t one of them. He won some increases, although not as much as he said Alabama needed.

“We believe there is probable cause to ask the state Senate to try this case and, if guilty, remove the governor from office”, Ford stated.

Bentley responded to those allegations in a freakish news conference where he insisted he did not have a physical relationship with Mason.

“All of it’s been clarified; it’s all been addressed”, Bentley said.

His proposed plan is to consolidate the 13 prison facilities in the state into three larger prisons for men.

“His wife leaves and then there are rumors of an affair, which he emphatically denies to the point that, now that we’ve heard the tapes, it’s hard to believe that hasn’t clouded his judgment or that he hasn’t used his office to cover up this affair”, Henry said.

Bentley fired Collier on March 22, saying an audit of law enforcement agency raised concerns, “including possible misuse of state funds”. However, Bentley denied suggestions that the two had an affair.

The governor said Monday that he considered the matter settled.

Audio recordings have emerged that depict Bentley making suggestive comments to Mason, according to state media reports. “It’s all been clarified, it’s all been addressed”.

He feels just awful about all this no more questions
