The victims have been identified as Robert Lee Brown, Justin Kaleb Reed, Joseph Adam Turner, Shannon Melissa Randall, and Chelsea Marie Reed, who was five months pregnant.

Police said Lester was staying with a relative in Citronelle on Saturday “in an attempt to leave an abusive relationship” with Dearman.

Police told reporters Sunday that the victims were found Saturday afternoon inside a home in Citronelle, about 30 miles northwest of Mobile. Greene County Sheriff Stanley McLeod has not yet returned messages seeking comment.

“This wasn’t, you know, one shot and someone falls down and it’s over with, this was a disgusting terrible scene and I can only imagine what the victims were going through as it was happening”, says Burch. Several weapons were recovered from the scene that may have been used as murder weapons. The three drove to the MS home of Dearman’s father. Mobile County Sheriff’s Capt. Paul Burch confirmed that police in MS have a suspect in custody who has confessed to the murders.

Later that night, police said, Dearman returned to the house and attacked the occupants while they were sleeping, using multiple weapons, including guns.

Dearman has some criminal history, including an active warrant for a burglary charge, Burch said.

Derrick Dearman, a man in his “20s from Greene County, MS is in custody after turning himself in at the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday afternoon, Captain Paul Burch with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office tells CNN.According to Burch, Dearman will be charged with six counts of capital murder, as one of the victims was pregnant”. Authorities also found a small infant, still alive, inside the house and Burch says the baby’s been taken to safety.

While motive remained unclear, residents of the house reportedly called 911 to report a trespasser around 1 a.m. Saturday morning. Once they arrived, Dearman released Laneta and 3-month-old. Citronelle Police responded to the call, but did not find Dearman on the scene.

Derrick Dearman will be charged with 6 counts of capitol murder.

Offered Local police chief Shane Stringer according to BNO News: ‘It’s a very, very gruesome scene.
