Alabama picks up big transfer in Bowling Green WR Gehrig Dieter
Gehrig Dieter from Bowling Green is headed to his third school and his third conference in the last four years.

Alabama grabbing wide receiver Richard Mullaney from Oregon State last season paid dividends towards winning their 16th national title and becoming the first SEC team to win the CFB Playoff National Championship.
Dieter is listed at 6-foot-3, 207 pounds. The 94 receptions were enough to finish ninth in the country, and his 10 touchdowns tied him for 17th overall. After redshirting as a freshman in 2013 Dieter caught 35 passes for 460 yards and 1 TD in 2014.
Fox Sports reported that Dieter will need a waiver to the eligible, but he’s scheduled to graduate from Bowling Green in May.
Dieter will likely need a waiver from the NCAA before the transfer process is complete since he has already transferred once from an NCAA Division I institution.
Dieter used his Twitter account to announce his decision to transfer to Alabama.
However, Dieter doesn’t seem anxious about the waiver.
Feldman pointed out that this is the second time in the past two years that Alabama has brought on a graduate transfer.
For Bowling Green, Dieter’s transfer is a big blow.

The Tide lost quarterback Jake Coker to graduation and starting running back and Heisman Trophy victor Derrick Henry to the National Football League draft. On top of that, head coach Dino Babers left for the opening at Syracuse, so new head coach Mike Jinks has plenty of holes to fill on his offense.
