“My co-worker said, ‘Come out here there’s been a plane crash, ‘ and we went outside”, Gilliand said.

According to the NTSB, investigators hope to remove the plane wreckage Tuesday night or possibly Wednesday. His plane dropped out of the sky 50 seconds into the flight. The couples are survived by 11 children total; three Farese children, three Perry children and five Poole children.

The Oxford Eagle reports two of the six killed are local dentists Jason and Lea Farese.

The Piper PA-31 that crashed in Alabama was registered to a private charter company, Oxford University Aircraft Charters, that shared an address with a dental office in Oxford, according to online aircraft records.

“On behalf of the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the UM School of Dentistry, our deepest condolences go out to the children and families of the couples lost in this heart-breaking tragedy”, he said Monday.

“They did everything they could”, he said.

Ty Owen met Michael Perry when he was just six-years-old.

One other couple on board had five children, it added. Kim Perry was certified as a women’s and family nurse practitioner and had worked for the university’s student health center since 2007.

“I remember Jason when he was a redheaded, freckled kid, and he would run around and play while the adults were playing family tennis”, said Clarksdale mayor Bill Luckett.

Jason and Lea Farese leave behind three children.
