Alabama Team Bus Leaves Without Kiffin After Title Game

Clemson gained 550 yards in Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T; Auburn gained 630 yards in the 2014 Iron Bowl, a 55-44 Alabama victory; and Texas A&M, led by the reigning Heisman victor, Johnny Manziel, gained 628 yards but fell to the Tide, 49-42, in 2013.

Kiffin tried to get a security guard to alert the buses that he was still at the stadium, to no avail. “I told them, ‘How do you wanna be remembered?’ It’s a 60:10 game, it’s the 60 minutes in the game and the 10 minutes in the locker room afterwards”, he said. This isn’t the first time that Kiffin’s had bad luck with bus transportation after football games. Kiffin was in mid-sentence, talking about his relationship with Alabama QB Jake Coker – “My bus is leaving”, Kiffin said. The way Clemson played this season, it’s hard to argue. “Coach Saban jokes with us, laughs with us, when you win you should have fun and celebrate”.

It is seemingly inevitable Kiffin will soon get another shot at the head chair, given a fourth chance in a business so many coaches never receive one opportunity. He plans to sit down with Saban on Wednesday to discuss whether to turn pro.
