Watson is the headliner for the No. 1 team in the country, and he’s doing it as a true sophomore coming off a torn ACL. Now potentially the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy, Henry has rushed for 17 touchdowns and 1,254 yards. Alabama separated itself from the pack. He ended up passing Tate with three touchdowns in the game, including this nice grab over a Pittsburgh defender. Henry was unstoppable until the end.
It’s not often the Seminoles are underdogs, and if running back Dalvin Cook’s ankle is good, then who knows what happens in Death Valley? And Alabama will also have its other great nemesis – universal praise – to overcome. Ingram went on to win the Heisman Trophy, and no running back has since taken home the award. After Henry’s efforts against LSU, it’s not unreasonable to predict another Tide victor this year. The sophomore entered Week 10 as the FBS leader in all-purpose yards (244.3 per game) and finished with 220 against the Buffaloes. Watching him completely wear down and kill the will of the LSU defense in the final quarter was mesmerizing.
