Album review: Burning Bridges – Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi promised and delivered what his fans deserved and, of course, paid for.

His latest, “Burning Bridges”, fulfilled his contractual obligation with his record label, Mercury Records, who he’s been with for his entire career. Sambora is no longer a member of the band and will not re-join for forthcoming band tours, Bon Jovi told the media Saturday.
Jon Bon Jovi took actions that showed class to make sure a Vancouver concert took place, after being initially cancelled, in spite of a conflict-filled year for the band.
Lyrics from the song include: “After 30 years of loyalty, they let you dig the grave/Now maybe you can learn to sing or strum along/Well I’ll give you half the publishing/You’re why I wrote this song“. “If you listen to ‘Burning Bridges, ‘ the song, it is clearly spelled out”.
The new album Burning Bridges is appropriately named. Listen to the lyrics.
Bon Jovi was on Mercury approximately 32 years.
“Jon put a lot of thought into choosing the right song for his Chinese fans”.
In 2014, longtime collaborator Richie Sambora left the group, leaving a hole in the band’s creative department. Two singles have been released from the album “We Don’t Run” and “Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning”.
After days of uncertainty and public finger pointing, Bon Jovi’s management team announced on Thursday the concert would be relocated to Rogers Arena, a 48-hour turn-around feat achieved with the help of Tourism Vancouver and the stadium.
Exhibit A: I’m Your Man, a typical post-Springsteen rocker that will surely serve concert punters as a good excuse for a toilet break.
“I was just absolutely devastated”, said Bonacci, who lives in Surrey and had been counting down to the show for weeks.
