Aldo demands title shot in Instagram post
Aldo, of course, was knocked out by McGregor in just 13 seconds as he suffered his first UFC defeat and first loss in any form of MMA in over a decade.

Although there’s a variety of other fighters with more victories and title fight experience now on the UFC’s payroll, none have ever come close to matching McGregor’s ability to captivate the masses as a brilliant self-promoter, and the fact that he continues to correctly predict the outcome of his fights puts him in a class of his own.
According to a post on his official Instagram account, via Fox Sports, the 29-year old fighter had already been training for a rematch with McGregor. At any time, anywhere, and since he is scared and knows that I’m gonna win. Keep my belt, but I wanna whoop ur ass anywhere.
When “The Notorious” instead chose to challenge UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, the company heeded to this request and booked the fight as the headliner for UFC 197 on March 5th in Las Vegas.
“Keep your word”, Aldo writes.
“Doesn’t have to be title fight against him”.
With the exception of former lightweight king B.J. Penn, the UFC has never allowed its champions to attempt to hold more than one title at a time.
“We made the fight the first time and he got hurt and had to pull out”.
Regardless of any of that McGregor looks to once again make history and may very well set another PPV record if his previous outings are anything to go by.
There’s a little bit of a disagreement between Conor McGregor and Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, aka The Mountain from Game of Thrones, over who won an impromptu semi-friendly sparring match in October. As far as McGregor was concerned, “I sunk him good”. I went to do something traditional in a fight between a right-handed and a southpaw. If you think of McGregor as the UFC’s number-one star, especially considering what happened to Rousey at the end of 2015, think about what will happen if the Irishman beats Dos Anjos to become a two-weight world champion.
But the rivalry took an unexpected turn earlier this month when Mayweather claimed that the double standards between how he and McGregor are perceived prove that racism is still alive.

However, it’s not just about the featherweight title.
