He said: “It was a lot less awkward than I thought it was going to be”.
He had been replaced for one series by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
She said: “I’m having so much fun, and loving being back with the OGs of X Factor – we are the original gangster panel”.
An X Factor insider told the newspaper, “Simon is thrilled that Alesha finally said yes to being a part of The X Factor”. “That was key for me”.
The host is believed to have signed a lucrative new contract with ITV, but assured the publication that money was not the driving force behind the decision. I’ve never taken a job purely for the money.
O’Leary added that he was forced to leave the show after hearing that bosses were looking at other presenters.
Speaking to the Sun, the British-Irish personality said that he chose to give the ITV show another go after the 56-year-old media mogul swallowed his pride and apologised during a late-night phone call.
The new season of “The X Factor” is merely a weekend away from its premiere on ITV, and with that in mind head honcho Simon Cowell seems eager to remind us of one thing: he’s really confident that this season will be a good one.
“I don’t have a God-given right to that job”.
“Then I went home, took a shower, went in and the rest played out”.
He said, “I kind of like the idea of reunions and I like the idea of what I call “The best of” The X Factor…” “I texted Simon and got a lovely text back but at the time I wanted to keep that at arm’s length”.
Whilst no changes were made to the line-up for the first three series, since 2007 Dannii Minogue; Cheryl; Gary Barlow; Kelly Rowland; Tulisa; Nicole Scherzinger; Mel B; Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora have all acted as judges on the show.
