“The 24-year-old full-back has passed the tests at Clinica Fornaca and then at the Istituto di Medicina dello Sport in Turin”.

The Bianconeri are looking for a left-back, but appeared to have cooled interest in Guilherme Siqueira of Atletico Madrid in recent days.

“I’m used to playing in both a back-three and a back-four”, he said.

“I’m feeling very positive, I’m happy and confident, ” Sandro said.

“The fans can rest assured that they have a player who will always give 100 percent to secure victories and success for the club”.

The 24-year-old joined Porto from Uruguayan outfit Maldonado in 2011 and has also earned six caps for Brazil.

Alex Sandro will be the sixth major signing made by Juve during the close season, following in the acquisitions of Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic, Simone Zaza, Neto and Sami Khedira.

He had since developed into a key player for the Portuguese giants, but a transfer became inevitable after he refused to sign an extension to his contract which was set to expire next year.
