Alexandre Pato reveals Manchester United deadline day offer
Alexandre Pato claims Manchester United made a last-ditch attempt to sign him with “a very nice offer” on transfer deadline day.

The 26-year-old is now on loan at Sao Paulo, where his performance caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs that were keen to lure him back to Europe.
But it was United who were the closest to landing him.
Pato has admitted that he would like to remain with Sao Paulo, but with his contract with Corinthians expiring in 2016, the striker lacks clarity regarding his plans for the future.
Louis van Gaal and United eventually signed French teenager Anthony Martial in a big-money deal.
Talksport are reporting that Alexandre Pato himself has recently revealed that he had a very nice offer from Manchester United just hours before the summer transfer window slammed shut. “I was expecting it, but I only knew after when they commented”, Pato told SporTV.
The forward, though, would prefer to extend his loan spell at Sao Paulo beyond December. But my focus now is here.
Pato added: “I won’t lie to you that I think yes [about the future]”.
“For the time being I’m working as hard as I can”.

“If I could choose, I would like to stay at Sao Paulo at the moment, but it doesn’t depend on me only”. I have to do my job on the pitch, there are people out of it, my agent, family, who take good care of these things.
