Alexis Sanchez: Arsenal to assess forward’s injury this week
Thierry Henry has spoken out against Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s choice to play Alexis Sanchez against Norwich City given that the Chilean maestro aggravated an existing hamstring concern in the Sunday afternoon fixture.

Some Arsenal fans blame Wenger for Sanchez’s latest injury – a problem with his hamstring.
Following the game, Bellerin gave an honest appraisal of the Gunners’ display and stated that his side were simply not good enough to win. He barely managed to get any rest after that, when he was thrown into the mix of the domestic season, playing nearly every game in the Premier League and in the Champions League. I do not know how long he will be out but it is a big blow.
“There are a lot of young players in the team waiting to come through, and we have a lot of quality training with us every day”.
“I would have rested Sanchez today but he said to me before the game he was fine to play”.
Koscielny was forced off early on with a hip problem, Sanchez was next to depart with a thigh injury and although Cazorla was able to complete the game despite a knee injury, Wenger described the Spain midfielder as “playing on one leg”.
“The players are there to play football and not to be rested and not for the press to decide if they need to be rested. I must say that with all humility we are not in a position to predict that, despite all our tests looking all right”.
Both Cazorla and Sanchez have now undergone medical checks and according to reports, both of them will miss Arsenal’s next two matches and even more.
Despite Alexis Sanchez picking up an apparent injury, Arsene Wenger insists he was not wrong to play him.

He added: “I can understand that you worry for us, but trust us, we will be there”, Wenger said. Ramsey continued: “It was obviously a bit disappointing to go a goal up and to concede that goal was a bit disappointing from our view, but to be fair they did well and they deserved to get a point out of the game”. “How bad it is, we’ll have to see that tomorrow (Monday)”.

“Maybe the turning point was at 1-0 up, we allowed ourselves to drop a little and let them back into the game”.
