Alfa Romeo Giulietta facelift revealed
Now, with a new rear-wheel drive Giulietta still a year or two away, Alfa has given the Giulietta a makeover for 2016 with cosmetic tweaks, new model designations and new equipment. There’s a new honeycomb grille, black (or red) bumper inserts and revised exhaust tips. Other changes have been severely limited but we know the hatchback is coming with new wheels and badging that falls in line with the Giulia model. The Uconnect infotainment systems have been improved with “Live services” that allow the user to access Facebook, Twitter, Deezer, TuneIn, Reuters, and TomTom.

The time has come for the mainstream versions of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia to be revealed in Geneva.
In the United Kingdom, the new model range features five trim levels: Giulietta, Giulietta Super, Giulietta Tecnica, Giulietta Speciale and Giulietta Veloce.
While the TCT dual-clutch gearbox will become an option on the 118bhp 1.6 JTDm diesel (it’s already optional on the 168bhp 1.4 MultiAir and standard on the 173bhp 2.0 JTDm and 1750 TB), the drivetrain line-up otherwise remains unaltered.
The facelifted Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been revealed, bringing updated styling plus new trim levels and the addition of Alfa’s TCT dual-clutch automatic gearbox as an option for the 118bhp 1.6 JTDM-2 turbo diesel. The base model’s standard equipment list also includes a leather steering wheel, 16in alloy wheels, Bluetooth, and air conditioning.
The old Business Edition trim is replaced by Tecnica to include practical touches such as sat-nav and parking sensors at both ends, while sporty Speciale brings items including stiffer suspension, Brembo brakes, aggressive exterior styling touches, 18in alloys, sat-nav and interior embellishments such as leather and Alcantara seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Mechanically, the Golf-sized Giulietta is offered with an array of gasoline- and diesel-burning four-cylinder engines ranging from a 1.4-liter turbo four that makes 120 horsepower to a 1.4-liter MultiAir mill rated at 170 ponies.
The official debut of new Alfa Romeo Giulietta was staged simultaneously yesterday at an worldwide event called “Fuel your Instinct” in five cities across Europe.
