Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron will miss this Monday’s episode to take care if his ailing father.

There’s no word on whether Ribeiro will be considered as a permanent host for the show, but fans will continue to keep Bergeron and his father in their prayers until his return. He’s given me a lifetime of support.
Since Bergeron will not be able to attend, former Season 19 champion Alfonso Ribeiro will be co-hosting with Erin Andrews instead, a source told to People.
And talking to Us at last week’s show, having just performed the role of Season 21’s guest judge, Ribeiro revealed he and Bergeron share a very close, and mutually supportive relationship. “Time to return the favor”, he added, in a caption to a very sweet photo of a young Bergeron sitting on his dad’s knee.
It has already been a tumultuous week for Dancing with the Stars. Then came the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, the hometown and college of Alek Skarlatos. While that wasn’t true at the time, it turns out for one night, it will be.
While Tom Bergeron won’t be on hand for this week’s “Dancing With the Stars”, there will be a reliable replacement host.
