Alicia Vikander celebrates first Oscar win with a kiss from Michael Fassbender

“You raised my game”, Vikander said late on Sunday in Hollywood in her acceptance speech, before sharing a congratulatory kiss with her actor boyfriend Michael Fassbender.

The 33-year-old former Miss World, who rose to fame internationally with last year’s ABC thriller “Quantico”, opted for a white elegant strapless gown by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad with a neat pony tail and diamond accessories for presenting the best editing Oscar. She made her feature film debut in 2010’s “Pure”, for which she won Sweden’s Guldbagge Award for best actress and received the Shooting Stars Award at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival.

The Swedish actress became understandably emotional onstage while accepting her award, but almost broke down when she called out her co-star, Eddie Redmayne.

Alicia Vikander said she was glad she was wearing a dress she could celebrate in as she clutched her Oscar backstage.

“Thank you so much, the Academy, for this incredible recognition”.

She also tearfully thanked her parents as the music started to play her out.

We caught up with her after the ceremony, and also spoke to Olivia Wilde and Bryan Cranston, who was nominated for best actor.

The Swedish actress, nominated for her role in “The Danish Girl”, showed up in a gorgeous yellow Louis Vuitton gown. “Thank you for giving me the belief that anything can happen even though I would have never believed this”, she added.

The brunette beauty showcased her enviable tan as she posed with her Rocky star husband.

In India, the most searched among the nominees for “Best Picture” is the “Revenant”, followed by “Mad Max: Fury Road”.
