Alien Hunters Spot Freaky Radio Signal Coming From Nearby Star
Albert Einstein predicted this effect in his theory of general relativity and confirmed it with our sun.

The signals seem to be coming from a sun-like star known as HD 164595 in the constellation Hercules, around 95 light years away. Given that HD 164595 is a Sun-type star, that planet would be too hot for life, but there may be other undiscovered planets in the solar system.
In his acclaimed work “Transmission of Information by Extraterrestrial Civilizations”, Soviet Astronomer Nikolai Kardashev explained that a Type II civilization would be able to harness the energy of their entire host star.
Looking at the signal, the researchers say that if it came from a multi-directional, isotropic radio beacon, it would have to be produced by a Kardashev Type II civilization, i.e.an alien civilization that has tapped into almost 100 percent of its host star’s energy potential.
Just days before the news was officially announced Saturday, an official from NASA last week told those in attendance at the NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts Symposium that similar breakthroughs – such as the rover on Mars searching for life there – that alien life may not be readily apparent even if the human eye sees it, science publication Inverse reported.
HollywoodLifers, do you think aliens are trying to contact Earth?
‘If aliens visit us, the outcome could be much like when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans, ‘ he said in an interview.
Translated: the The Kardashev scale is a hypothetical system of measuring an alien civilization’s technological advancement. If the signal was targeted directly at our solar system, then it would be of a power available to a Kardashev Type I civilization, i.e.an alien civilization capable of exploiting almost all of its home planet’s energy potential.
“This is a bit of a puzzling story, as the Russians found this signal a year ago or so, but just didn’t let others know”.
“The signal is provocative enough that the RATAN-600 researchers are calling for permanent monitoring of this target”, said Gilster. That’s not good policy, as what you really want is confirmation at another telescope, but… According to Glister, the discovery and work to understand its origin will be discussed at a SETI committee meeting during the 67th International Astronautical Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico, on Tuesday, September 27.

“I would follow it if I were the astronomers, but I would also not hype the fact that it may be at SETI signal given the significant chance it could be something military”. There are, of course, natural explanations for the signal, including the possibility that of “microlensing” – that is, the star’s gravity strengthens and focuses other signals.
