Shigeru Miyamoto, the designer of Super Mario Bros. and The Legend Of Zelda, took to the stage yesterday to share news of his new game, in association with Apple, Super Mario Run. It can be played with just one hand.

Super Mario Run will be an auto-runner with players tapping the screen to have Mario jump onto enemies, over obstacles and into power-ups. Surprisingly, the game has already been listed on the App Store without a price and is unavailable to download as of now.

Although it was announced that “Super Mario Run” is exclusively will come to iOS, Nintendo later announced they will make this game available on Android as well. Nintendo wants it to be playable and suit all ages. The game follows the success of Pokemon Go on mobile, which garnered a huge amount of revenue for Nintendo and has seemingly set the precedent for Nintendo’s foray into mobile gaming. The good news if you don’t have an iPhone is that Super Mario Run will get an Android release date.

Players need to navigate challenging course while collecting coins on the first mode. There is also Toad Tally where you can challenge other players. The more you impress the various Toads who appear throughout the level, the higher the score. For the third mode, you can use the coins collected to create a Mushroom Kingdom of your own.
