Earlier on May 4, a representative for EA revealed why they were allowing gamers to have the expansions for free and what else players will expect.

With the impending release of Battlefield 1 next month, DICE is rewarding all those who played their previous war shooter with free access to all five pieces of Battlefield 4’s DLC. Each DLC expansion pack normally retails at around $15 (Rs 1,000) each.

EA Company has been very generous that they are giving their downloadable contents and major expansions for free, such as the new “Battlefield 4”, and got some of the players asking if this is a trial?

No, once downloaded, the expansions stay on your accounts to keep. Better hurry, though, as this free offer expires on September 19. You do not need an Xbox Gold Membership to take advantage of the free downloads, but you will still need to have the Xbox Gold Membership in order to play the game online. An open beta for Battlefield 1 finished last week and was a huge success with over 13 million players. Finally, the season pass Titanfall is also free, like a Titanfall 2 out … on 28 October. Now, we’re happy to report that all of Battlefield 4’s extra content can be yours at no cost until Monday.

The deal is a promo for Battlefield 1, which is set to launch on October 21 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
