All-Drake radio station hits airwaves in North Carolina
Earlier this week, a gospel station in Charlotte, NC, previously called WQNC, mysteriously changed its name to 92.7 Drake and vowed to play all Drake, all day.

Radio stations have often been criticised for a lack of variety in the music they play, and this has been pushed to the limit in the USA.
It’s not clear how long this will go on for, but the station has reportedly hinted that a “special announcement” will ve coming on Monday. Is it some sort of marketing ploy?
As for rumors that Drake may have purchased Praise 92.7, the web site radioINSIGHT.com notes that the Toronto-born entertainer is a Canadian citizen, which renders him legally ineligible to own a U.S. station.
In October 2014, a Houston-area radio station employed a similar stunt when they made the move from all-news to classic hip-hop.
The success of Boom 92 influenced parent company Radio One to launch similar classic hip-hop formats in Philadelphia and Dallas.
