All Eyes On Carson, Trump As Republicans Begin Third Debate

Donald Trump, the longtime frontrunner in the Republican presidential race, geared up for battle in a third nationally televised candidates’ debate, with outsider Ben Carson hot on his heels.

Carl Quintanilla, Becky Quick and John Harwood – are planning to ask contenders about Americans’ financial freedom, the health of the economy as well as jobs, taxes and the deficit.

For an answer, one must look at the tantrums and complaints by the Republican candidates about the CNBC debate that go back weeks. But an Iowa Poll conducted by The Des Moines Register and Bloomberg Politics put Carson at 28% and Trump at 19%, and other polls have reported a similar reversal in fortune. “With the lull between debates and his upcoming “Saturday Night Live” appearance (November 7), the soft-spoken, “anti-Trump” candidate Ben Carson, has emerged as a viable candidate”, said Orlando. In an interview with Fox News, Trump harshly criticized Bush for the worst attacks in USA history. The undercard debate will feature just four candidates: Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal, Rick Santorum and George Pataki. Majority were about his rival Donald Trump, whom Carson overtook in a handful of Iowa polls as well as one recent national poll.

Then: “He was so nice…but then his poll numbers tanked, that’s why he’s on the end, so he got nasty”, Trump says to audience laughter. John Kasich will you insult two people over here? “What has happened to our party?”

Because of the number of candidates, those who watch tonight’s GOP confrontation will see a format that is similar to the previous debates. But a few of the polls coming out, I don’t quite get it. In a series of interviews since early October with various news outlets, Carson has not made his position on the debt ceiling clear.

But one major donor said Bush is taking the long view, expecting the Trump “phenomenon” to fade once voters start paying closer attention to policy specifics.

Ms Fiorina, a former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard, has polled in the single digits for most of the campaign. While Fiorina will be able to reference her business knowledge, she’s also working to gain a strong footing that has been lost since the last debates. There was nothing. It was just – she had a good debate.
