Daytime legend David Canary, best remembered for his dual role as Adam and Stuart Chandler on “All My Children”, has died.

“All My Children” alum David Canary died on November 16 in CT due to natural causes at the age of 77 years old.
Starting in early 1980s, he became a fixture on Children for 26 years, during which he won five Outstanding Actor Awards and 16 nominations between 1985 and 2008.
Canary was born in Elwood, Ind., but grew up in Massillon, Ohio.
After serving two years in the U.S. Army, he moved to Los Angeles. He appeared in Hombre with Paul Newman, The Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre with Jason Robards and Shark’s Treasure with Cornel Wilde to mention but a few.
His other soap credits include Search for Tomorrow (his first daytime soap role), One Life to Live (on which he played Adam Chandler), The Doctors, and Another World. Canary retired from full-time acting in 2010.
The soap icon leaves behind his wife M of thirty-three years Maureen and his son, Christopher, his daughter, Kathryn, his grandson, Donovan Canary, and his brother John.

As per an obituary posted on wiltonbulletin.com, funeral services for Canary will be private and for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that people make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association under the “David Canary Memorial Fund”. In addition, Canary continued to associate himself with his Bonanza role well into his career, making several appearances at the Lake Tahoe site of the show’s Ponderosa ranch between 1967 and 2004, and reprising the role for a PAX-TV special in 2002.
