It also comes with a 1TB hard drive that allows you to save more games and data. It also launched the PS4 Pro which brings more power as well as 4K and HDR support.

In later comments to the presentation of PlayStation Meeting, Sony revealed that the feature of sharing or Share will benefit from the extra power of PlayStation 4 Pro. But Sony was quick to reiterate that they have no plans to release any PS4 Pro-exclusive titles.

The console is created to be attached to a 4K TV for maximum benefit, though if gamers don’t own one, then Pro will output its games in a native 1080p to existing sets.

The Pro will also stream 4K video from the likes of Netflix and YouTube via dedicated apps but oddly won’t play 4K blu rays.

As the Xbox One S adds 4K video support and some sort of recent insalments, the rumored speculations now talks about the PS4 Slim that it will generally be a smaller variant of the authentic PS4. A slimmer PS4 model was announced, called the PS4 Slim, and will be available September 15 in most territories for $299.

The slimmer new PS4 ships this month for $299. Polygon reports that the console will be 43% more powerful than the PS4 Pro, and Penello states: “The performance delta will be obvious”.

It will be interesting to see how future racing games will harness the extra horsepower. The new design will be lighter, slimmer and more powerful.

Consider it a rumor no more – Sony has officially unveiled its mid-generational hardware upgrade to be the PS4 Pro. That depends on what you want.

Furthermore, he adds that “forward compatibility” will be added to older games so they can be played without a hitch on the PS4 Pro console.

This support for existing consoles will be good for both HDR gaming and video streaming.
