The man with whom he had been arguing is seen jumping out of the way of the fast moving vehicle and yells ‘Yeah!’ as Leavitt is crushed. According to KTLA, police officials released footage on Monday showing an unidentified man arguing with Tracy Leavitt while another man hops into his auto and mows him down, travelling at high speed.
A bystander captured horrifying video of a road rage argument that escalated into one man allegedly stealing a grandfather’s auto and running him over in the street. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
“I thought he died but he didn’t”, she said.
Sabine Leavitt said, “I know they will get theirs”.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family pay Leavitt’s medical bills.
The Hemet police are asking for help in the case, and have not announced what charges they would bring against the suspects though they call the incident “assault with a deadly weapon”. The two suspects abandoned the victim’s auto and fled the scene in a white 2006-2011 standard cab Ford pickup truck.
“Not only are the hospital bills going to be astronomical, but he is the sole bread victor of his family and self-employed”, the page reads.
The assailants were described as white or light-skinned Hispanic men, between the ages of 18 and 25, about 5-feet, 10-inches tall, with thin builds and brown hair.
Hemet Police Department Tracy Leavitt is seen standing next to the suspects’ white Ford pickup truck as one of the two men appears to talk on a cellphone near the hood.

His accomplice, who struck the victim, was described as about 5-foot-10 and 130 pounds, with brown hair, wearing a white T-shirt, dark-colored jeans and a black baseball cap turned backward. The vehicle was believed to have a broken rear cab window, in addition to a broken driver’s side window, the post stated.
