Allegiant Air is adding a nonstop flight to New Orleans from Tulsa, Oklahoma on a seasonal basis.
The time period to catch a flight to Los Angeles is June 2 to September 18.
Allegiant – known for its cheap fares, high fees and older airplanes – frequently flies into smaller, secondary airports. Headquartered in Las Vegas, the airline launched service from CAK last May.
Allegiant announced in January it would add year-round, nonstop flights to New Orleans from two Florida cities, bringing as much as 33,000 travelers to the city this year. Among the other additions: Toledo to Myrtle Beach and Columbus Rickenbacker to Jacksonville, Florida.
Allegiant is kicking off the summer travel season with 22 new routes, service in three new cities and a free airfare giveaway.

As part of the summer campaign, the airport will give the first 22 travelers to book their flights on each of the new routes a refund of their round-trip airfare.
