Allegri remains hopeful of Pogba Juve stay

Four years on from departing Old Trafford without making a first-team start, the 23-year-old is being trailed by his former club having flourished at Juventus.

Massimiliano Allegri admits that he is unsure of Manchester United target Paul Pogba’s future at Juventus beyond the summer.

Paul Pogba’s return to Old Trafford would be a significant U-turn for the player who on departing for Italy in 2012, was accused of “disrespecting Manchester United” by Sir Alex Ferguson.

He told reporters in Shanghai ahead of United’s International Champions Cup clash with Borussia Dortmund: “I don’t confirm and I don’t deny [a move for Pogba]”.

“I gave Ed Woodward options since day one so he’s not feeling the pressure of “I need to get this player because he’s a player the manager wants”, Mourinho outlined.

After Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, this will be new coach Jose Mourinho’s one more spectacular move to revamp the club. We have just 25 percent to do before August 31.

“We established the profile of four players to improve the squad, to give us more options, especially adapted to my way of thinking about football. I am really confident that Mr Woodward and the owners will bring me that profile of player”.

United round off their China tour against Manchester City in Beijing on Monday.

Negotiations are being complicated by Juventus’s demands for a fee of at least pounds 100 million and disagreements over who will pay agent Mino Raiola’s cut of the deal, which is reported to be pounds 13.4 million-pounds 18.4 million.

“The best suits are the suits by measure”. I can not tell you.

“I think it affects a lot”.

The Special One is, however, refusing to count his chickens despite agreeing a fee with Juve and concluding Pogba’s personal terms, explaining that he and the United board are remaining calm and have every confidence his master plan will finally be achieved.

“We have space for a midfield player”, he said, according to BBC Sport.
