Allen’s TD helps No. 1 Tide overpower No. 6 Aggies 33-14
But No. 1 Alabama would find a way to win again. They, after all, were witnessing the fearsome optical near-illusion of Jonathan Allen, the turning of a big game and a telltale microcosm of another soaring Alabama autumn.

“You can’t flinch”, A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said. But the way Alabama is playing, it’s hard to imagine this team losing to anyone in the SEC; in fact, it’s nearly gotten a bit boring.
The visiting Aggies heard their maroon-shirted sliver of the crowd cheering as they momentarily stunned the top-ranked Crimson Tide, which was a favorite to win big when the betting odds were released. 2 Ohio State dropped six spots in the coaches’ poll with both of the first-place votes it previously owned going to Alabama.
Alabama racked up five sacks of Knight, who had engineered Oklahoma’s Sugar Bowl upset of Alabama as a redshirt freshman with a 348-yard, 4-touchdown performance. Those are the playoff teams. Three ended in punts, Deante’ Gray fumbled away a kickoff and the final possession ended on downs.
“Eddie was a fantastic player for us”.
“The first time, the play before, I got cut”, Allen said. But they did, so he did, and now Utah has a healthy running game.
Bobby Dyer is a Sports Writer at End Zone Score.
“He’s played Star, played corner, so he’s gotta a lot of hats that he’s wearing right now, which is hard to get a guy that many reps at any one position when he’s playing three”, Saban said.
Alabama trailed 14-13 after the first drive of the third quarter, and as the water pressured waned in the bathrooms the real pressure ratcheted up on the field.
“It was a great team win for us”, Howard said.
The Aggies can’t say the same thing about anything on their day. This week, the honors went to Alabama linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton, and Texas A&M linebacker Riley Garner. Saturday’s tilt wrapped up the Tide’s most trying stretch of the season. With former Auburn star Bo Jackson watching, Kamryn Pettway had 192 yards rushing with two touchdowns.
As a dejected Jackson was being taken to the locker room during the victory, the crowd in Tuscaloosa chanted “Eddie!” “We controlled the momentum for most of the half until they scored at the end, but we didn’t score touchdowns”.
The Aggies forced Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts into a third-down incompletion on the following drive, potentially setting the table to open up an eight-point lead. Alabama’s offense might not be as efficient as previous editions, but there’s no specific scheme or style teams can run in an effort to stop the Tide attack – they have to match up man-for-man, and that’s a unsafe proposition for any team in the nation.
The victory puts LSU (5-2, 3-1 SEC) at 3-0 under interim coach Ed Orgeron, who replaced Les Miles when the Tigers were 2-2.
Now, Texas A&M Aggies are back out to prove that this will be an all-or-nothing season. That matches the number of TDs allowed by the Tide’s defense so far.
The Aggies’ undefeated season is over.
Texas A&M totaled 65 yards on the ground and 84 yards through the air before half time and was within a touchdown of Alabama. It was Allen’s second touchdown of the season and the team’s 12th nonoffensive touchdown overall.

Alabama, though, just keeps getting better week after week. Alabama had carried the look of dominance, outgaining Texas A&M 129-25 after one quarter and 303-150 after two, yet it trailed. “And we know there’s a high standard for us and everybody’s not really satisfied with this and there’s a long season to go and we’ve just got to get better”.
