Allenby lied about Hawaii kidnapping: caddie

Allenby has not responded to Middlemo’s claims. “And he just lost the plot at me”.

“I’ve known Rob for a long time and I’ve known Mick for a long time”, Clarke said.

“Robert’s a very high-strung individual, he has an issue with caddies”, Middlemo told News Corp.

Caddie Mick Middlemo said Thursday he walked off the course in Oakville, Ontario, because of a series of “personal insults”.

But Allenby’s former caddie Mick Middlemo, with whom he fell out spectacularly following a verbal confrontation during the opening round of the Canadian Open, said he had protected the golfer and publicly supported his story about the incident because he was asked to.

He added: “If Rob tells the true story, I’m not speaking out. Honestly I do… I think he fell over and someone picked up his wallet and had a great time with his credit card”. “He’s in the same class as Bernard Tomic. I’d absolutely put him in the same class”, Middlemo said.

“Was he just drunk?” He also said he had blood tests to see if anything was detected in his system. He said he kept telling the golfer the truth about the night in Hawaii would come out. “We keep making bad mistakes and you’re not helping me in these circumstances”, Allenby, who carded a nine-over 81 first round before withdrawing last week, said.

Allenby and Middlemo had a discussion before his fourth shot on the par-5 13th at Glen Abbey Golf Club.

Despite an extensive police investigation, no evidence was found to back up Allenby’s claim he was bashed and kidnapped after leaving a wine bar.

Australian golfer Robert Allenby posted a picture of himself to social media after allegedly being abducted and beaten whilst in Hawaii.

While there has been public outrage at Allenby’s treatment of his caddy, Big Del voiced his own stoush with the Aussie golfer.

“The way he talks to people on the golf course is mind-boggling”, Middlemo said. “But I think the No 1 thing that you should all remember is that my story stays exactly the same as the way I told it. I told you what I knew, and I told you what someone told me. It’s disappointing that Allenby is still treating people that way and how many good caddies he’s gone through”, caddie Simon Clarke said. “I hold no grudges with anyone and I take full responsibility for all my actions”.
